Dear TCM Mandarin friends
Since many of us have been working from home since a longer time, or stay at home more due to current circumstances, it is very important to design our surroundings in a way that makes us feel comfortable - true to our guiding principle of maintaining holistic health.
This basic idea is also pursued by Feng Shui, the Chinese teaching of harmonious living and home design. The goal of Feng Shui is the harmonization of the human with his environment, which is to be achieved through a special way of living and living space design.
For this purpose we have made a short video about one of the so-called 8 Treasures of Feng Shui - the Húlú: https://www.facebook.com/TCMMandarin/videos/1422095431457078 (link opens in Facebook).
The hulu is a gourd, a natural calabash. It is one of the most popular and powerful remedies revered by Feng Shui practitioners. According to them, the calabash can be used to gather and harmonize the life energy Qì in rooms. The calabash is not only a trustworthy symbol of longevity and good health, it also augurs prosperity and many good blessings. According to Feng Shui, the sha-chi (bad Qì) enters the belly of the vessel through an opening placed near the stem of the calabash, where it is been harmonized in the two chambers. The two halves of the double-bellied gourd symbolize Yin and Yang.
Hulu in your entrance area transfer their effect on the environment and the person passing by, the inner and outer well-being get lifted and balanced. The path to our own center, to family and friends is filled with love and peace.
We hope that you are doing well despite this extraordinary situation worldwide. We believe Switzerland is on track to normality - as long as we all stick to the instructions of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)
Above all, remain calm during these troubled times.
"The soul knows how to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind."
So sometimes you need to switch off the brain to heal the soul. This can be interpreted in hundreds of ways - as varied as life itself. We recommend the following wisdom delivered through the practice of Tai Chi.
Tai Chi, "the source of being, from which everything is born," is a sequence of exercises with slow, flowing movements of meditative character that originated from a Chinese technique of self-defense. In practicing it , you let the world be the world for a while and concentrate on your body and your inner self. Try it out yourself and enjoy the peace of mind and soul.
