Treatment Procedure

Before acupuncture treatment, the patient lies down in a relaxed and comfortable position on a massage table. When the fine, very thin needles are inserted, you may feel a slight sensation, which usually fades quickly. If the needle is inserted a bit deeper or gently manipulated, a dull, pulling sensation or a feeling of warmth may occur, varying in intensity. This sensation, known as De-Qi in Chinese medicine, plays an important role in the effectiveness of the therapy.
