Tuina Massage
Traditional Chinese Massage
Tuina massage is based on various massage techniques, such as pushing, stroking, pressing, rubbing, tapping and clapping, up to the technique of vibration.
In a Tuina massage, the patient is usually massaged over a towel while sitting or lying down. Massage oils and special herbal ointments can also be used for direct massage on the skin.
Treatment procedure
The Tuina massage is particularly effective for disorders of the musculoskeletal system, but also for many other problems such as osteoarthritis, after a stroke, injuries, tension and many more. In contrast to Western massage techniques, Tuina requires a thorough Chinese TCM diagnosis.
A wide range of applications can be found in pediatrics. Children react effectively and positively to Tuina massages.
